The interactive sound installation Nduma nu Ciru, (Light a candle), created 2009, is an audio synth consisting of a Christian votive candleholder with photosensitive sensors above system the candles.
Visitors are invited to light the candles one by one. When they place and move the candles over the structure, the installation starts to interactively play techno music. The art work intended to engage viewers with a re-appropriation of spirituality and mystical rituals. It was realized in collaboration with the sound designer Silvia Rollo.
